Community Guidelines
Credplate is a place for restaurant people. These are the house rules for profiles, posts, comments, photos and messages. They are part of our Terms. Treat people here the way you would want to be treated on a good shift.
1. Be yourself
- Use your real name and your own photo.
- One account per person. No fake profiles.
- Never pretend to be somebody else: not a coworker, not a manager, not a restaurant, not Credplate.
2. Be respectful
- No harassment or bullying. If somebody asks you to stop, stop.
- No threats, and nothing that encourages anybody to hurt themselves or others.
- No hate: nothing that attacks people for their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability or illness.
- No sexual content, and no unwanted flirting or advances.
3. No spam or scams
- No bulk messages, chain posts or advertising nobody asked for.
- No scams, fake job offers, or asking people for money, passwords or bank details.
- No links to harmful or misleading websites.
4. Keep private things private
- Never share guests' personal information: names, phone numbers, card details, reservations, addresses.
- Never share a coworker's personal information (phone number, address, schedule, health, immigration status) without their clear permission.
- No doxxing: never post information meant to help somebody find, track or target a person.
- Only post photos or videos of people who agreed to it. That includes guests and coworkers.
5. Be honest about passes
- Take your own tests. No cheating, and no taking a test for somebody else.
- Never share test answers or copies of a restaurant's tests.
- No fake records: do not claim passes, jobs or certificates you do not have, and do not edit or fake a screenshot of one.
6. Respect other people's work
- Only post photos, recipes, menus, writing and videos that are yours or that you have permission to share.
- Give credit where it is due.
- A restaurant's training material is that restaurant's. Do not copy it out of Credplate.
If you believe something here copies your work, the copyright section of our Terms explains how to tell us.
7. Talking about your work is OK
You may talk about your pay, hours, tips, schedules, breaks and working conditions on Credplate, on your own or together with your coworkers. That includes saying what you think could be better.
- We will not remove a post just because an employer does not like it. Posts are judged by these guidelines, the same as everyone else's.
- Restaurants may not use Credplate to punish anybody for talking about their work, for example by revoking a pass, removing them from a team, or treating them worse.
The other rules still apply: no threats, no harassment, and no sharing anybody's private information, a guest's or a coworker's.
8. How to report something
If you see something that breaks these guidelines, tell us. A Report option is coming to posts, comments, profiles and messages. Until it arrives, write to hello@credplate.com with a link to what you saw, or a screenshot, and a few words about what is wrong.
If somebody is in danger right now, call your local emergency number first.
9. What happens after a report
- We look. We read every report.
- We act if it breaks the rules. We may remove the content, give a warning, or suspend or close the account. For serious harm, like threats or scams, we may act straight away.
- You can disagree. If we removed something of yours or suspended your account and you think we got it wrong, write to hello@credplate.com and we will look at it again.
You can also block somebody at any time. They can no longer message you or invite you to connect, and they are not told.
